Instructions:
Faux Patina Technique:
-Swipe Crumb
Cake ink onto the inside of the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder.
-Emboss Basic White card stock to transfer the inked texture.
-Using Blending Brushes, layer Perfect Peacock, Lost Lagoon, and Mossy Meadow inks over the embossed surface to create a faux patina effect.
The faux patina piece is used for the pocket watch face and gears.
-Die-cut and punch pieces:
-Use circle and Deckled Circle dies to die-cut the pocket watch from:
Faux Patina (watch face),
Copper metallic card stock (frame)
-Die-cut the gears and chain from:
Faux patina, and copper metallic card stock using the Gears & Textures Dies.
-Die-cut or punch the top of the pocket watch from copper metallic card stock.
I used two oval punches, one nested inside the other.
Heat Emboss:
-Lightly swipe Versamark over the Crumb Cake card front and heat emboss using black and copper embossing powders.
Add Versamark to the edges of the card front and heat emboss again with black and copper powders.
Dab Versamark along the edges of the watch, face, gears, and chain pieces, then heat emboss
using black, copper, or a combination of both powders.
Swipe Versamark along the edges of the Perfect Peacock mat and heat emboss with copper embossing powder.
Complete the card:
-Attach gears to the card
front and emboss again using the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder.
-Emboss the watch pieces using the same folder.
-Layer the watch pieces and chain onto the card front.
-Add the center gear, watch hands, and hour dots.
-Stamp the greeting on copper metallic card stock using Versamark and heat emboss with black embossing powder.
-Attach to the card front.
-Layer the finished card front onto the mat, then onto the Crumb Cake card base.
-Finish with pentagon embellishments.
