Two sizes of vintage snowflake cards: the larger card measures 5-1/2" x 6", and the smaller card measures 5-1/2" x 4-1/4"

Instructions:

1. Create Snowflakes:

-Stamp the Lasting Linen* background on a Basic White card front using Gray Granite ink.

*Lasting Linen is a large photopolymer stamp (in the new packaging) and is cumbersome to use, even on our largest "F" clear block. Use one of these methods:

Place it in a stamp-positioning tool and stamp as needed for full coverage, or

Lay the stamp on Clear Block F, ink it, and leave it face up. Place your cardstock on top and press with your fingertips to transfer the image.

-Secure the card front to your work surface with a small piece of washi tape so it stays aligned while you switch masks. A grid sheet works great for lining up edges.

-Position Snowy Delights Decorative Mask #1 over the background, aligning it with the grid.

Tip: Each mask has four notches. Before you begin, trace the bottom edge of each notch onto your grid sheet with a pencil. This gives you perfect alignment for every layer.

-Using a Blending Brush, apply Cloud Cover ink through Mask #1.

-Align Mask #2 and add Secret Sea ink.

-Align Mask #3 and add Real Red ink.

-Align Mask #4 and add Crushed Curry ink.

2. Complete card:

-Lightly spritz the backs of both the snowflake panel and the Peaceful Garden piece with water so the inks don’t run.

-Gently crumple each piece into a loose ball (deep breath—this is part of the vintage charm!).

-Unfold and lay flat to dry. Once dry, lightly swipe a Gray Granite ink pad across the creases for added texture.

-Distress the edges with a distressing tool or the blade of your scissors. 

-Sponge Gray Granite ink along the edges for more depth.

-For the larger card, I added Woven Threads Trim from my stash. It had a green-gray tone, so I recolored it by dragging it across a Gray Granite ink pad.

-Mount the snowflake panel and Peaceful Garden piece onto Cloud Cover mats, then attach to a Basic White card bases.

Finish with gems for a touch of sparkle.

Paper: Basic White, 12" x 12" Basic White, Secret Sea, Peaceful Garden Designer Series Paper

Accessories: Snowy Delights Decorative Masks, Blending Brushes, washi tape, spritzer bottle with water, distressing tool, Woven Threads and gems from my stash
