Don’t toss those scraps! 

This Circles Faux Quilt Card shows how a handful of leftover paper pieces can become a stunning design.

Punch or die-cut, layer, and arrange circles to create a faux quilt effect that’s colorful, textured, and totally unique.

The possibilities are endless!

Instructions:

1.Die-cut or punch pieces for Circles Faux Quilt Card

-Determine size of card front (5" x 5 1/2" to start).

-Die-cut or punch 1 1/4" squares out of Basic White and Basic Black card stock

-Die-cut or punch 1" circles out of coordinating scraps of card stock

-Cut circles in half.

2.Build Faux Quilt

-Alternate black and white squares on card front

-Add 1/2 circles onto the squares, pairing light and dark coordinating colors

3.Emboss Faux Quilt

-Emboss using die-cut machine and embossing folder (Softly Sophisticated) to create the faux quilt stitching

4.Finish card

-Trim card front if needed (4" x 5 1/4")

-Attach to Lemon Lolly card base

-Stamp greeting using Memento Black ink on scrap Lemon Lolly scrap

-Add Black Matte Dots to complete

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set: Terrific Toadstools

Ink: Memento Black

Paper: Basic White, Basic Black, Lemon Lolly, assorted colors of scrap card stock

Accessories: 1 1/4" square and 1" circle punches, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Softly Sophisticated Embossing Folder, Black Matte Dots
