Need a quick masculine-themed card? 
This handmade birthday card was created for my husband using the reverse stencil technique. Strips of Country Woods designer paper form the background, with heart shapes cut out and layered in a mirrored effect—half solid, half patterned. Finished with bold blue embellishments and a clean 'Happy Birthday' sentiment, it’s the perfect mix of rugged and heartfelt.

Instructions:

1. Create reverse stencil card front:

-determine placement of hearts on a strip of Country Woods Designer Series paper.  I wanted 3 hearts to fit on my card front, so the final measurement was  7" x 2".

-punch or die-cut hearts (or other shapes) out of the right edge of the DSP.

-adhere the DSP to a piece of Basic White card stock (7" x 4").

-attach the heart cut out pieces to the card front, lining them up with the stencil cut outs.

2. Complete the card:

-stamp greeting using Misty Moonlight ink

-attach to Misty Moonlight card base

-add gems to complete

Ink: Misty Moonlight

Paper: Misty Moonlight, Basic White, Country Woods Designer Series Paper

Accessories: heart punch, blue resin dots
