Incorporate paint chips found at your local hardware store into your paper-crafting.
There are lots of interesting color combinations and images.
Let the paint chip do the heavy lifting!
For these paint chip cards, I used the stamp set Inspirational Sketches.
The possibilities are endless!
Instructions:
1.Trim paint chip to remove branding and the names of the different paints. For these cards, I used paint chips from Behr Paint.
2. Stamp image from Inspirational Sketches using Early Espresso ink. Heat emboss using heat tool and clear embossing powder.
3.TIP: because of the slick surface of the paint chip, die-based inks are likely to smear and may never completely dry.
To
set the ink, either stamp the image using Stazon permanent ink. Stampin' Up! carries Jet Black or Saddle Brown Stazon ink and refills.
Or, do like I
did, heat emboss the image using clear embossing powder.
4. Attach to Early Espresso mat. Attach to Very Vanilla card base.
5. Attach speckled gems to complete.
