Instructions:
1.Die-cut or punch squares out of various designer paper.
For this card, I used a 1 1/4" square punch from my stash. Because of the size of the punch, the card is larger than a regular-sized A2 card. It measures 6 1/2" x 5 1/4".
But, you can make the card smaller in size just by decreasing the size of the squares.
You will
need:
16 designer paper squares (4 of these will be diagonally cut in half for the 4 corners)
6 neutral card stock squares (2 of these will be diagonally cut in half for the 4 corners)
Use a square die, square punch or paper cutter to cut the
squares.
2.Start with a larger piece of card stock than you'll need as your base. After the quilt has been assembled, you can cut the base down to card front size.
-Starting with the first row, attach 4 of the neutral squares (Wood Grain Specialty Paper)
-For the second row, attach cut pieces of neutral and designer paper, creating the first square. Then, add 2 full squares of designer paper. Then add cut pieces of neutral and designer paper, creating the last square.
-Add 4 squares of designer paper each for rows 3 and 4.
-For the last row,
repeat the step for the second row, using cut pieces of neutral and designer paper for the 2 ends.
3.Cut the base down to size if needed.
4.Attach a rectangle piece of designer paper to the top of the pumpkin for the stem.
5.To create the look of
stitching, emboss the piece using die-cut machine and Cute Crochet embossing folder. Depending on the size of your piece, you may have to emboss twice in order to get the image fully embossed.
6.Attach to Mossy Meadow card base. I added green foil tendrils punched using a retired spiral punch. Add a bow to the top of the pumpkin using a Glue Dot to secure.
7.Stamp greeting from Country Birdhouse on Basic White card stock using Mossy Meadow ink. Attach to Mossy Meadow mat and add to card front.
8.Add speckled dots to complete.
